Luxurious, 100% baby Alpaca yarn
Kokon is a soft, supple, hand dyed and Fair Trade produced yarn for knitting and crochet. For everyone who loves pure & fair luxury.
Available in semi-solid, gradient and variegated colourways.
100 % Baby Alpaca;
Recommended needles 4,5 mm (US 7; UK 7);
100 gr skein, length approx. 200 m;
Hand dyed in Peru;
Fair Trade certified & environmentally friendly production;
Hand wash only.
Please note: In our experience, Kokon Alpaca is very susceptible to pilling. This is a natural characteristic of soft, loosely twined yarn. But it does make Kokon Alpaca a little less suitable for knitting sweaters.
How many skeins do I need?
Please note that Kokon is hand dyed on a small scale. Always make sure that you have enough yarn for your project. Even within the same dyelot, colours may vary.
- Scarf or cowl: 2-3 skeins.
- Shawl: 3-5 skeins.
- Women's jumper or cardigan size 40: 7-8 skeins.
Please note that some patterns, like cables, require more yarn than a standard stockinette or garter stitch. Also, crochet usually requires approx. 30% more yarn than knitting.
