Kanoko & Momo knitting pattern

Required materials

Kanoko mittens:

“Kanoko” is Japanese and means seed stitch, moss stitch, and is also the name of a Japanese sweet.

  • Kokon Merino:
    • MC: 120 m (132 yds) or 4 mini skeins colour Dusk;
    • CC1: 60 m (66 yds) or 2 mini skeins colour Night;
    • CC2: 16m (18 yds) or 1 mini skeins colour Ice.

Momo mittens:

“Momo” is Japanese and means the color pink, or a peach, and is the name of a Japanese flower.

  •  Kokon Merino:
    • MC: 155 m (170 yds) or half a skein or 5 mini skeins colour Dusk;
    • CC1: 15 m (17 yds) or 1 mini skein colour Night;
    • CC2: 15m (17 yds) or 1 mini skein colour Ice.

 

Needles 

US 5(3.75 mm) & US 2 1/2(3.0 mm), or JPN5(3.6 mm) & JPN3(3.0 mm),  Set of 4 DPNS or 80 cm(32”) Circular needles.

Gauge 

23 sts × 34 rows in 10 cm(4”) in stockinette stitch.

Finished measurements 

Circumference: 20 cm(7.9”), Length: 24 cm(9.4”)

Tools 

1 stitch marker, scrap yarn, tapestry needle
